The Embassy of Serbia in Albania organized a reception in Tirana to present the Specialized Expo 2027 exhibition, which will be held in Belgrade. On that occasion, it was emphasized that the event would contribute to strengthening regional cooperation, economic connectivity, and the promotion of the Western Balkans as a region of development, investment, and innovation.

The reception was attended by numerous representatives of the Albanian business community, tourism institutions, media organizations, as well as members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Tirana.

Addressing the attendees first, the Ambassador of Serbia to Albania Slobodan Vukcevic assessed that Expo 2027 would represent the most significant international event in the region in the coming period, with the potential to bring together a large number of countries, companies, institutions, and visitors from around the world.

Vukcevic stressed that the exhibition represents an opportunity to strengthen regional cooperation, economic integration, and the promotion of the Western Balkans as a space of development, investment, and innovation.

According to him, the organization of Expo 2027 in Belgrade will have long-term effects not only for Serbia, but for the entire region as well, particularly in the fields of infrastructure, tourism, creative industries, and the digital economy.

He underlined that the exhibition’s theme, “Play for Humanity – Sport and Music for All,” symbolically connects the universal values of sport, music, and culture as instruments of cooperation and bringing people together, while also promoting innovation, sustainable development, and modern technologies.

During the presentation, Expo 2027 representatives Aleksandar Nikezic and Marko Nikolic presented the concept of the future exhibition, the implementation timeline of the project, as well as the economic and tourism potential the event will bring to Serbia and the region.

Guests were also introduced to details of the future exhibition complex in Belgrade, including the planned infrastructure, pavilions, and accompanying facilities that will be constructed as part of the project.

Special attention was given to the future exhibition’s modern and interactive features, which will include national pavilions of participating countries, thematic exhibition units, innovative technological presentations, cultural and musical programs, sports facilities, conferences, business forums, and zones dedicated to youth and creative industries.

Plans regarding the digital platform for visitor registration and ticket purchases were also presented, along with various ticket categories and packages intended for individual visitors, families, tourist groups, and business delegations.

According to Nikezic, the organizers’ goal is for Expo 2027 to be accessible to a broad range of visitors and, beyond its exhibition character, to represent a unique experience combining technology, culture, education, and entertainment.

Particular attention during the presentation was devoted to opportunities for the participation of foreign companies, institutions, and tourism organizations within the exhibition, as well as to the expected effects on the development of international trade, investment, and tourism flows.

It was emphasized that the participation of a large number of countries and millions of visitors is expected during the exhibition, which will position Belgrade and Serbia at the center of global economic, cultural, and business developments.

The reception in Tirana was organized as part of international activities aimed at presenting Expo 2027 and strengthening cooperation with partners in the region and beyond.
