Director of the Institute for Territorial Economic Development Dragisa Mijacic announced during the public debate in Zubin Potok about the land expropriation that the strategic goal of that municipality was tourism, but that the last season had been canceled because tourists could not come without armed police officers waiting for them with their hands on the trigger.

"We have here the tourist product 'Via Ferrata', which is the best and most popular tourist product in the world, and this is what world experts say. Our second tourist product is Gazivode Lake. 'Via Dinarica' is the third tourist product whose path now passes by the base in Jasenovik. In the fall, when we went to mark tourist trails, special forces chased us like terrorists, and what if we had tourists that day, who would come back here again," Mijacic said.

In the tourist guide of France and England, Mijacic added, it is clearly written that Mokra Gora is one of the 10 best-hidden tourist destinations in the Balkans.

"Because of all this, I ask you what the public interest of what you are doing for Zubin Potok is. We canceled the entire last season because we cannot bring in tourists without armed police officers waiting for them with their hands on the trigger. I am going to the Tourism Fair after this meeting, and I wonder what should I promote – tourism or Kurti's war adventurism," Mijacic said.
