Nada Petronic: I dedicate the victory in Istanbul to my coach Lune, I miss his advice
Nada Petronic, a competitor from the kickboxing club "Kosovska Mitrovica," dedicated the gold medal she won at the European Junior Championships in Istanbul on Saturday to her coach, Milun Milenkovic - Lune, who was arrested by Kosovo Police Special Forces in June of this year and has been in custody for nearly three months.
The young champion emphasized that this victory was very important to her because she had reclaimed the European throne.
"I became the European kickboxing champion for the second time. My first victory was in 2021, and now I have reclaimed the title. This victory means a lot to me, especially since our coach, Milun Milenkovic Lune, is currently not here. I am very grateful to everyone for their tremendous support. This is a great victory for me, the club, the city, the family, and the Serbian national team," Petronic said.
Petronic mentioned that during the challenging moments leading up to the fight she had missed her coach, with whom she had been working since the beginning of her career.
"I dedicate this victory to coach Milun Milenkovic - Lune. I miss him more and more every day, especially when it was time for me to enter the ring, for him to tell me what to do and give me advice, as a coach who has known me my whole life and with whom I've been working. I missed that moment when he could tell me what to do," Petronic emphasized.
She announced her participation in the Balkan Championship and the competition "Balkan Best Fighters."
The kickboxing club "Kosovska Mitrovica," which Nada represents and which has achieved remarkable success in various competitions throughout Europe, was led by coach Milun Milenkovic until his arrest. Afterward, the care of the club and all its members was taken over by assistant coach Aleksandar Alagic.
