Ristic: The bomb has disturbed the whole family; they want to intimidate us
Milan Ristic, a member of the Serb List and Director of the Gymnasium in Kosovska Kamenica, on whose house in Ranilug an explosive device was thrown at last night, says for Kosovo Online that all family members are disturbed by this incident.
Ristic says that at the moment when the bomb was thrown, which happened last night, 40 minutes after midnight, he was on the terrace of his house. He adds that he views this as an intimidation attempt.
"We have suffered significant material damage. The entire family is disturbed. If we look back, we can conclude that these devices were activated at the homes of people who hold positions and are members of the Serb List. This could happen to anyone; it is a form of intimidation. We will see what will happen later. Anyone could have been harmed; no one knows what will happen when the device is activated," Ristic says.
Tanja Aksic, the President of the Provisional Municipal Administration of Kosovska Kamenica, stated that this was a clear case of lawlessness. She added that she had no doubt that the purpose of all this was to intimidate the Serbs.
"If our strong Serbian determination to remain and survive in this area bothers someone so much that they want to use this method, intimidation, throwing explosive devices, to expel the Serbs, to scare them, and to come in future years. This is pure lawlessness, with so many KFOR troops, and the international community, that in one village, within two months, six bombs are thrown, and the perpetrators cannot be identified. Nowhere in the world is there such a situation," Aksic told Kosovo Online.
Fortunately, none of the Ristic family members were injured in the explosion, but shrapnel damaged the house, car, and fence. This is the sixth bomb thrown in the Municipality of Kosovska Kamenica in the span of two months.
