Increased Dutch police presence in The Hague ahead of verdict

Ahead of the reading of the verdict in the case involving the former KLA leaders before the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague, Dutch police have increased their presence in the city and are confiscating flagpoles to prevent possible incidents, Indeks Online reports.

On their way to The Hague, many people were carrying KLA flags, flags of the “Freedom Has a Name” platform, as well as Kosovo and Albanian flags.

According to Indeks Online, police were confiscating flagpoles from people gathered there, regardless of whether they were wooden or metal.

As they stated, the measure is presumed to have been introduced to prevent possible incidents and potential physical clashes.

According to a statement published on the Kosovo Specialist Chambers website, the reading of the verdict has begun at 10 a.m. and will last until noon.
