Before today's football match between Albania and Croatia, Albanian fans were joined by a German police officer in provoking Serbian fans by displaying the symbol of the double-headed eagle.

For days, Albanian fans have been provoking Serbian fans by displaying UÇK flags and making the double-headed eagle gesture with their hands. Now, during celebrations on the street, they convinced a member of the law enforcement to first dance with their flag and then to also make the double-headed eagle gesture with his hands.

Due to provocations, the disciplinary committee of the European football governing body (UEFA) has decided today to revoke the accreditation of Albanian journalist Arlind Sadiku for the European Championship, after he made the double-headed eagle gesture with his hands in front of Serbian fans.

UEFA also fined the Albanian Football Federation due to the behavior of fans during the first match of the European Championship, in the game against Italy.

Albanian fans threw objects onto the pitch, lit flares, and one fan even ran onto the field.

There were also provocative messages, leading UEFA to fine the Albanian Football Federation a total of 37,375 euros.
