Spokesperson of the Basic Court: Ivan Todosijevic's prison sentence was postponed for two months

Former Minister of Local Self-Government, Ivan Todosijevic, has had his sentence of one year in prison, which he was sentenced to by the Basic Court in Pristina, postponed for two months.
As the court stated, Todosijevic had been convicted of the crime of inciting hatred, division, or national, racial, religious, or national intolerance, by declaring that the massacre in Racak had been a fabrication, which was why he had been dismissed from his ministerial duties in the government of Kosovo.
The decision to postpone the start of serving the sentence was confirmed for Klan Kosova by the spokeswoman of the Basic Court in Pristina, Mirlinda Gashi.
She said that the decision had been made at the request of Todosijevic's lawyer to postpone the execution of the criminal sanction.
"In connection with the request for postponement of the execution of the sentence, the convicted person submitted medical documentation as evidence on his behalf. The president of the Basic Court in Pristina, Albina Shabani Rama, at the request of the convicted person, after considering the request, concluded that the request had been founded, so the execution was postponed for two months," Gashi explained.
According to the decision of the Basic Court, Todosijevic was supposed to appear for serving his sentence on April 3.
