Beqa: Kosovo Government is covering up failures in the international arena with actions in the north

Hajdar Beqa, a member of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (DPK), emphasized that Kosovo's diplomacy is unsuccessful and lacks strategy, and he also stated that the Kosovo Government is focused on the north to conceal its failures in the international and domestic arenas, as reported by Reporteri.

Beqa criticized the Kosovo institutions for their lack of dignified representation in the international arena.

He expressed concern about the "casualness" of President Vjosa Osmani and Minister of Foreign Affairs Donika Gervalla, whom he said had only focused on replacing diplomats so far.

"We have not seen a strategy from the current government in terms of diplomacy, neither from the prime minister nor from the minister or president. I believe this is a complete lack of strategy. We do not have dignified representations outside of Kosovo. We have seen that Gervalla has mainly been occupied with replacing diplomatic representatives and has not appointed new people," Beqa said.

He mentioned that the government is focused on the north of Kosovo and believes that actions are being taken there to cover up failures in the international arena.

"So far, there have been no new recognitions, not even a promise of new recognition. We have not been successful in the field of diplomacy and lobbying for the advancement of Kosovo. Kosovo functions as if it does not have a foreign minister or as if they have removed diplomacy from their strategy. Through actions in the north, populists are trying to conceal other failures, both internationally and domestically, because we have problems with economic development, youth emigration, and unemployment," Beqa stated.
