Brnabic with Franges: Pristina takes no action regarding de-escalation, and avoids the formation of the CSM

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met with the Special Envoy of Slovenia for the Western Balkans, Anzej Franges, today, whom she briefed on the situation in northern Kosovo and warned about Pristina's avoidance of establishing the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities.

As stated in the announcement of the Serbian Government, Brnabic, while discussing the situation in Kosovo, pointed out that Belgrade had long been emphasizing the brutality, violence, and discrimination faced by the Serbs and other non-Albanians in Kosovo.

"The Prime Minister, among other things, particularly emphasized that Pristina still hadn’t taken any action to de-escalate the situation in northern Kosovo and Metohija and that the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities had not been established, despite the obligation under the Brussels Agreement signed more than 10 years ago," the statement said.

It is also noted that Franges expressed gratitude for the detailed information about the situation in Kosovo and emphasized that Slovenia fully supported Serbia's European integration process, highlighting the importance of EU enlargement in the region.

During the meeting, they also discussed a range of current regional and global issues.
