After the session of the Serbian Parliament where Kosovo and Metohija was discussed, the European Union Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, is coming to Belgrade this evening, after visiting Pristina, and Prime Minister Ana Brnabic says that this is an additional form of pressure, RTS reports.

Brnabic pointed out in the Morning Program that it was obvious that diplomatic activities regarding Kosovo were accelerating and that the pressure on Belgrade was increasing.

"Which is not surprising when you look at the state of the world, the war in Ukraine, the war in Eastern Europe - most of Europe is indirectly involved in the war, and the US is also participating in it. Now there are great tensions between the US and China. No one is satisfied with any other, the next potential new conflict and instability, and they want to extinguish any potential hot spots," the prime minister says.

The goal, she says, is to put an end to those conflicts, but also to remove precedents such as Kosovo from the agenda.

"Kosovo and Metohija certainly is because it was taken from Serbia in violation of international law," Brnabic said.

She notes that, without the consent of the Security Council, aggression was committed against Serbia, without Serbia attacking anyone.

"They took away part of our territory, at least those countries that recognized the unilaterally declared Kosovo and Metohija independence did, and we have been fighting ever since," Brnabic says and points out that Kosovo is a major precedent.

She points out her position and that of President Aleksandar Vucic that a frozen conflict does not suit Belgrade.

"It is a state in which anyone can unfreeze it. Someone like Albin Kurti comes, he is not interested in stability, has no plans for prosperity, and he wants to make up for his economic failure, lack of political and economic vision by having constant political instability," the prime minister says.

An apology for the error on the Government website

Brnabic confirmed that there was an error on the Government of Serbia website, where in the English translation of the 10-point Plan on the next political moves of the state, "Republic of Kosovo" was written.

"I want to apologize to all our citizens that such a harsh error appeared on the Government of the Republic of Serbia website. We immediately took down that page. An error occurred, and the responsibility lies with the Government's internet team and the press service. We checked what it was about – it was a harsh and unforgivable translator's mistake," Brnabic said.

She adds that the translator, as a Master of English, has been working in the Government of Serbia since 2001 and that the mistake is his, as well as that of some other people who, as she says, publish on the website without checking.
