Prime Minister Ana Brnabic of Serbia stated today regarding the campaign against Serbia led by Pristina and the videos released by the Kosovo Government about the events in Banjska that we had seen everything on them, except how the three Serbs had been killed.

"We have not seen that footage. Were they killed from a distance or in combat? Or were they killed, like Bojan, while lying wounded and already surrendered, and then executed in a classic manner? Contrary to every rule of warfare and anything else. We have not seen that footage. I am convinced that this footage exists since there are obviously various recordings, and either they or foreigners recorded everything. But we have not seen that footage. And they presented those who never existed, and I am talking about 'Pasuljanske livade'," Brnabic said at the laying of the foundation stone for the viewpoint on Kablar.

She pointed out that Serbia would continue to do what President Aleksandar Vucic had always done, which was to courageously speak the truth.

"What protects us is the truth and nothing else. Because if these others were protected by the truth, then they would not resort to a campaign of lies and disinformation. And all we hear these days are lies and disinformation. And we have the truth. The truth is that the only thing Albin Kurti wants is ethnic cleansing in Kosovo and Metohija. He does not want the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, he does not want others there, nor does he want Roma people," Brnabic stated.

She pointed to numerous letters from Roma people living in Kosovo and Metohija addressed to the international community in which they expressed feeling like second-class citizens, and she noted that nobody reacted to this.

"Unfortunately, no one is preventing this; unfortunately, we have come to a point where Kurti's police are allowed to shoot at an 11-year-old child, and no one is held accountable. Not only is he not in prison, but he is not even in custody. Not to mention how Kurti, in the middle of Berlin, in front of the Bundestag, fires the director of the police of the Northern region, which is not his jurisdiction and goes against the Brussels Agreement. Not to mention the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities; Kurti fired a man in Berlin whom four mayors from northern Kosovo had appointed. And the international community did not stand up and tell Kurti that he cannot do that," Brnabic emphasized.

She added that the Serbs were constantly subjected to terror, mistreatment, and humiliation.

"Today, at a meeting with UNMIK representatives, I said that I would like all of us to be like Gandhi, to sit, endure, and remain silent even when they attack us, and to turn the other cheek each time. I would like everyone to be like Gandhi, but that is impossible. Kurti aimed precisely for that, that at some point, someone will stand up, and that they will not allow their children and families to be attacked. We have the truth to defend ourselves, it is on our side, and we will emphasize it at every opportunity," Brnabic said.

Brnabic spoke earlier today about the campaign being waged against Serbia following the events in Banjska. During her appearance on TV Prva, she also pointed out that President Aleksandar Vucic’s interview with CNN had shown the pressures on Serbia and how the President was fighting.

"And how he emotionally, calmly, and courageously responds and explains at a moment when anyone else would lose all composure and political correctness," Brnabic stated.

She emphasized that Serbia was in a difficult situation.

"No one among us justifies the killing of anyone, the killing of an Albanian police officer from the Kosovo Police. But regardless of what happens, no matter how the Serbs react, Belgrade and its authorities are accused of being responsible for the aggression and attack," the Prime Minister explained.

Commenting on the current situation in Banjska, Brnabic noted that nobody reacted to the humiliation of the Serbs in Kosovo.

"President Vucic both pleads and points out, saying, 'People, it is impossible that nothing happens because Kurti wants something to happen for the Serbs to react'," Brnabic stressed.

She said that the opposition in Serbia and certain media outlets claimed that Vucic was to blame, even though he had been pleading for peace and stability for years.

"Where is Albin Kurti? Kurti and Pristina are arresting Serbs without warrants and explanations and allowing gunfire at Serbian children, and the one who fired is neither in prison nor in custody," Brnabic stated.

According to her, Vucic is fighting to show what the truth is.

"He works day and night to show the facts and documents to all those who decide today what will happen, and he presents data on how many members of the military were on the administrative line," the Prime Minister pointed out.

She emphasized that the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities was the only obligation from the Brussels Agreement that had not yet been implemented after 10 years.

Brnabic pointed out that if you looked at how Belgrade had changed, the investments that existed, and the railways and roads being built, you could see that Serbia was a different country.

"We must not let this pressure defeat us, neither from outside nor, unfortunately, from within. We must continue forward," the Prime Minister assessed.
