Dacic: Extradition of Radoicic to Pristina is not possible; he will be tried in domestic courts
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, emphasized, commenting on Interpol's warrant for the former vice president of the Serb List, Milan Radoicic, that the extradition of Radoicic to Pristina was not possible, Danas reports.
Dacic points out that President Aleksandar Vucic had confirmed earlier that an investigation against Radoicic was underway and all legal proceedings would be conducted exclusively in domestic courts.
"President Vucic has said that the investigation against Radoicic is ongoing, and all legal proceedings will take place in domestic courts. It is immoral for the authorities in Pristina, who emerged from the woods, from the KLA, to label the Serbs as terrorists", Dacic said.
When asked if the only culprit for all the problems faced by the Serbian community was Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, and that the Government in Belgrade, led by President Vucic, bore no responsibility, Dacic said that the responsibility for all the problems of the Serbs in Kosovo lay with the Government of Albin Kurti, as well as with previous Kosovo prime ministers who had not implemented the Brussels Agreement.
"The international community is also responsible, thinking that it can deceive us by having us sign the Brussels Agreement. They now say there is no implementation of the Brussels Agreement without prior recognition of independent Kosovo. That is unacceptable for us", Dacic told Beta.
When asked what the Brussels Agreement had brought to the Serbian community in Kosovo, Dacic said that the agreement had brought ten years of peace.
"For ten years, we haven't endured pressure to recognize Kosovo. Unfortunately, the international community has shown it lacks credibility to force Pristina to fulfill the obligations of the agreement. The Serbian community is not in a difficult position because of the Brussels Agreement but due to Kurti's disregard for the agreement. Pristina's stance is not to implement anything that doesn't fit their concept of independence", he emphasized.
Commenting on the decision of the Serb List for the Serbs to leave Kosovo institutions, Dacic said it had been a reaction to harassment and a lack of security, and that the decision had been correct as it highlighted the problems created by Kurti's policies.
Regarding the Ohrid Agreement, Dacic said that President Aleksandar Vucic had excluded his consent regarding parts that could be interpreted as de facto or de jure recognition of Kosovo.
"We have never accepted the Ohrid Agreement in its entirety. President Vucic said that in Kosovo and Metohija, the CSM must be formed first, and then we could discuss everything", he stressed.
Asked about what he, as the head of diplomacy, had done about the derecognition of independent Kosovo after accepting the Franco-German plan, Dacic said that the process continued, but it was not discussed publicly.
"In recent years, 28 countries have withdrawn recognition of Kosovo, and we will continue that policy", Dacic concluded.
