Dacic: It's time for showing real intentions - does Kurti want to form the CSM
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic said tonight that it was time for truth and to determine whether Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti wanted or did not want to form the Community of Serbian Municipalities.
"Every day we live in the problem of whether Kurti will ignite a conflict again. Instead of normalization, we have a further escalation. We have come to the point where the masks must be taken off - will Kurti form the CSM or not," said Dacic in Hit Tweet show on TV Pink.
If Kurti does not want to do that, then, he says, what Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said also applies - that we have not agreed on anything, and if he wants to form the CSM, then it should be seen on what basis it will be.
"He illegally replaced the Management Team and is thinking about unilateral acts, how to introduce mayors to the offices in the north, and the Serbs will not allow that," said Dacic.
He reminded that the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, will talk tomorrow in Brussels with the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, on a technical level.
"Let's see what we do next", Dacic added.
When it comes to the upcoming Council of Europe summit, he reiterated that Serbia was deeply affected by the unprincipled decision of the Committee of Ministers to begin the admission of Kosovo to that international organization.
"In response to that, we prepared an amendment to the Declaration, which talks about the territorial integrity of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia, as well as all other members, but Germany didn't like that either," said Dacic.
He added that the ambassador of Serbia to that organization, Aleksandra Djurovic, will go to the Summit of the Council of Europe instead of President Vucic. The head of the SPP parliamentary group in the Serbian Parliament, Milenko Jovanov, said that Kurti and his, as well as some other MPs, are advocating a "war scenario", which is playing out before our eyes, and about which President Aleksandar Vucic warned both the domestic public and the international community.
He also stated that he would not rule out the possibility that the protests in Serbia in the last few days are related to this, and that it suits someone that Serbia is dealing with other things, and that we all turn our heads to the other side, and that Pristina expel the Serbs from Kosovo.
"However, it has been said, more than once, that Serbia will not tolerate this, but will protect its people. So that diversion, if it exists, is not something that will pass," said Jovanov.
