Djuric with Stephenson: Saint Vincent and the Grenadines committed to the UN Charter and International Law
As part of a series of meetings held on the margins of the 55th Regular Session of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States, Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Djuric met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Frederick Stephenson.
Minister Djuric expressed his gratitude for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines' consistent position in supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, emphasizing that such a stance reaffirms the country's commitment to the fundamental principles of international law and the United Nations Charter.
He conveyed Serbia's readiness to enhance overall relations and cooperation with this Caribbean nation, highlighting the importance of intensifying political dialogue and organizing high- and top-level visits.
Minister Djuric also underscored Serbia’s determination to strengthen ties with Caribbean and Latin American countries, including through regional organizations in which Serbia holds observer status.
During the meeting held in Antigua and Barbuda, special attention was devoted to bilateral economic cooperation.
The head of Serbian diplomacy expressed satisfaction with Saint Vincent and the Grenadines' confirmed participation in the Specialized Expo 2027 exhibition, stating that it will be an honor to welcome the country’s delegation in Belgrade.
Minister Djuric also invited students from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to apply for the “World in Serbia” program, which, by offering scholarships to foreign students, serves as an important mechanism for strengthening bilateral cultural and educational ties.
