Djuric: Vucic is targeted because he is leading Serbia where it belongs

Serbian Ambassador to the US Marko Djuric says that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is seeking ways to face Serbia's biggest challenges and problems, which is why he is being targeted.

On Twitter, Djuric expressed his support for Vucic and the values that Serbia strives for.

"As President Vucic seeks ways to meet head-on some of Serbia's greatest challenges and chronic problems, speed up the reforms and modernization, and lead the country towards taking its rightful place at the table of European nations, he is increasingly being personally targeted, including the latest attempts at his physical safety. At this perilous time, I stand in support of our nation's President Aleksandar Vucic and the universal principles and values modern Serbia strives for," Djuric said.

He said that an open, free and democratic Serbia would always prevail.
