Djuric with Zungu: Serbia committed to the principles of international law and territorial integrity
Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Djuric said today, in talks with the Speaker of the Parliament of Tanzania, Mussa Zungu, that Serbia consistently adheres to respect for the principles of international law and the territorial integrity and sovereignty of independent states, emphasizing that Serbia’s principled position is that all open issues should be resolved peacefully and through dialogue.
Djuric also informed his interlocutor about the current situation in Kosovo and the position of the Serbian people living there.
The ministers discussed further strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Djuric emphasized that the two countries have a long tradition of good relations and understanding on various issues, especially within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement.
Noting that there is significant room for improving cooperation between the two countries, the head of Serbian diplomacy pointed out that the reopening of the Embassy of Serbia in Tanzania, expected later this year, will contribute substantially to this.
It was also highlighted during the talks that the “World in Serbia” program represents a good platform for establishing new connections, developing future cooperation, and strengthening partnerships with countries of the African continent and other friendly regions of the world.
Djuric expressed his gratitude for the confirmation of Tanzania’s participation in the specialized world exhibition Expo 2027 in Belgrade.
