Milovan Drecun, President of the Committee for Kosovo and Metohija in the Serbian Parliament, stated that he does not see readiness from Pristina, specifically from Albin Kurti, to fulfill what Belgrade expects and what the Serbian people expect, especially in northern Kosovo and Metohija, RTS reports.

"Kurti is now trying to present himself as some kind of constructive actor who is ready for dialogue, but he does not demonstrate that on the ground. He declaratively advocates for calming the situation, but the actions he is taking lead to a new escalation," Drecun pointed out.

According to Drecun, it is crucial to dispel all doubts about who is behind Kurti's behavior, especially after Gabriel Escobar's statement that the United States did nothing against Pristina.

"If we seek the causes of Kurti's behavior and the crisis in the north, we cannot avoid the responsibility of the leading Western countries. Therefore, they are responsible because their actions encourage Kurti," Drecun assessed.

He expects that the pressure on Belgrade will intensify.

"The masks have finally fallen. I don't think we can expect the West to be impartial and objective," Drecun says.
