Garic: Kurti persistently creates the conditions for a new pogrom of Serbs in the north

For his actions in the north, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti relies on the support he still has in certain centers in the West, especially in Germany, but he failed in his basic intention to present himself as the "new Zelenskyy" and to make Serbia the culprit for the tensions that he provokes, but it has already come to the point that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg also condemns what the Kosovo special police are doing in Serbian areas, Milos Garic, an editor of Kosovo Online, told for Kurir TV.

A day after NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg emphasized that the Kosovo Police should not undertake actions in the north without consulting KFOR previously, the Special Units of the Kosovo Police forcibly entered the premises of the "Lola" factory in Zubin Potok, carrying long guns with them, while a few hours later, without a clear explanation, another Serb was arrested, Kurir reminds.

"Months ago, by accumulating police and weapons in the north, Kurti created the conditions for a new pogrom of Serbs, like the one in 2004. Every day, he finds new ways to put pressure and threats. So far, he has not succeeded with bare terror and aggression in his intention to drag Serbia into conflict and to provoke a reaction from the Serbs, which he would later abuse. After all, he still does not give up and will not give up as long as he is in power. Of course, he relies on the support he has in the West. He gets it from strong centers, especially Germany which provides the main support to Kurti for the actions he carries out. But Kurti did not succeed in becoming Zelenskyy, which he dreamed of. He did not succeed in making Serbia the culprit, but things are going in a different direction," says Garic.

He adds that the basic condition for calming tensions is the withdrawal of the special Kosovo police from the north of Kosovo.

"It is time to normalize the situation. For the life of Serbs to be as free as possible without daily threats and fear. Then it will be possible to discuss the continuation of the dialogue, new local elections and the CSM. However, as things stand, there are many reasons to be worried about what will happen during the fall, because without strong pressure from the West, Kurti will not give up the persecution of the Serbs," says Garic.
