The Ohrid Agreement does not imply recognition but normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, the US Ambassador to Serbia, Christopher Hill stated.

Hill, in an interview for Bujanovacke, said that Serbia had fulfilled a significant part of the agreement, with the crucial remaining aspect being finding a way for Kosovo to access various international organizations.

On the other hand, as emphasized by the ambassador, Serbia has the right to the CSM.

"In Kosovo, they see the CSM as a kind of Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but the CSM has no similarity with Bosnia and Herzegovina. However, everyone has the right to their opinion but not to distort the facts. Education and healthcare are of primary concern for Serbia and the Serbs in Kosovo and through the CSM they have the right to it," Hill said.

He emphasized that the essence of the Ohrid Agreement was the "normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia":

"So that people, while crossing checkpoints at border crossings, do not think about politics but about improving the quality of their lives," Hill pointed out.

He expressed his belief in normalization because, as he emphasized, "everything is feasible if people want to talk".
