Hyseni: The CSM is an international obligation of Kosovo that cannot be avoided
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo Skender Hyseni stated that yesterday's meetings in Brussels had focused on the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities and pointed out that it had been known that the implementation of the "Community cannot be avoided because it is an international obligation of Kosovo", Reporteri reports.
Hyseni noted that it was now imperative to reach an agreement for the swift implementation of the agreement without wasting time and making calculations.
He criticized the Government of Kosovo, highlighting that the delay in implementing this issue had led to conflicts between Kosovo and its allies and the imposition of sanctions.
"The bad thing is that delaying the implementation has led to Kosovo's antagonism with the democratic world and then to sanctions. Kosovo had to hit a wall to realize that it should not play with international obligations. Both the government and the opposition knew this, but their unacceptable political calculations caused significant harm to the country in the dialogue," he emphasized.
Hyseni also criticized the opposition and the Democratic League of Kosovo, stating that "this party failed to uphold the vital interests of the country when security was at risk".
"It remains to be seen what the draft statute of the CSM proposed by the Quint contains. Therefore, it is imperative that we reach an agreement on the swift implementation of the agreement without wasting time and making calculations. Kurti must come to his senses!" Hyseni said.
