Krasniqi: Alarm for Kosovo- some ministers did not get visas for the USA
The President of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, said after the meeting with the US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, that the fact that certain Kosovo ministers had not received a visa to visit America was actually a sanction that should be understood as an alarm, Reporteri reports.
"I am sorry that Kosovo is in such a situation, so far we have not had such cases, it is unprecedented that the ministers of the Government of Kosovo and state officials have been sanctioned in this way, it is regrettable, I believe that this is an alarm that should be taken seriously in Kosovo", said Krasniqi, who is visiting the USA.
According to him, the goal of his visit to the United States is to point out the need for Kosovo to have American support.
"I want to tell you that the purpose of this visit is not to criticize our government, but to talk about our need for Kosovo to have American support, even when the government does not know how to do such a thing. My visit and all these were planned in this context. I used the meetings to talk about the need for American support for Kosovo, about the help that should be added to the integration processes, especially the Euro-Atlantic ones, but also about the fact that we really need a new momentum in our relations that helps Kosovo to move from the status quo we are in today”, Krasniqi told Klan Kosova.
The meeting between Krasniqi and Escobar was also attended by the vice-president of the DPK and the former Kosovo ambassador to the USA Vlora Chitaqu.
