Krasniqi: Decision on the Ibar Bridge opening is in the process

The Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi, attended the oath-taking ceremony of the new North Mitrovica mayor, Erden Atic, and hinted at the implementation of the decision to open the bridge over the Ibar River, Dukagjini reports.

After the oath-taking ceremony, Krasniqi, in response to a journalist's question about the opening of the main bridge over the Ibar, stated that the decision made by the Municipal Assembly was on his desk and that he would proceed after a legal review.

Nexhat Uglanin, the President of the Municipal Assembly of North Mitrovica, stated that the request from councilors to open the main bridge for traffic had been forwarded to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kosovo and the Ministry of Local Government Administration.

There were 13 votes in favor of opening the bridge, one against, and one abstention.
