Krasniqi: This is not an agreement; this is an international punishment for Kosovo

Political analyst Milazim Krasniqi assessed that no agreement had been reached in Brussels, but that the European plan represented an international punishment for Kosovo.

Krasniqi wrote on Facebook that the Franco-German plan allowed Serbia to benefit, without giving anything in return, and this, according to him, was shown by three items.

The first is - the Community of Serb-majority municipalities with powers of political and territorial autonomy, which according to him, derives from Article 10 which states that "both parties confirm their obligation to implement all previous agreements from the dialogue, which remain binding".

Krasniqi cites as the next item the strengthening of the status of the Serbian Orthodox Church despite Ahtisaari's plan, which, as he says, has been transformed into a "state within a state". It quotes Article 7 of the European proposal: "The parties will formalize the status of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo and ensure a strong level of protection for Serbian religious and cultural heritage objects in accordance with existing European models."

Under item number three, Krasniqi points out "the return of Serbia's direct influence on the policy of the Kosovo government". And here he quotes Article 7. "Ensure an appropriate level of self-government for the Serbian community in Kosovo and the possibility of providing services in certain areas, including the possibility of financial support from Serbia and a direct channel of communication between the Serbian community and the Kosovo government."

"Summary: 1. The community occupies 20 percent of the territory of Kosovo. 2. The Serbian Orthodox Church owns numerous properties and continues its blocking and subversive role against the state of Kosovo, now with even greater capacities. 3. The Serbian state has regained its direct presence in the politics of the Kosovo government, regarding the interests of the Serbs. P.S. This is not an agreement.
