Krasniqi: Populism is Kurti's last refuge; people are fleeing Kosovo because they have lost hope
Memli Krasniqi, the President of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), stated that Prime Minister Albin Kurti is "incompetent" to improve the lives of citizens and that populism is his last refuge, as reported by Telegrafi.
He mentioned that due to daily tensions, PDK is unable to reach out to citizens and discuss topics that actually concern them.
"There's a saying that populism is the last refuge, in this case, of an incompetent prime minister. We have a prime minister who is completely incapable of improving the lives of Kosovo citizens in any field. Our misfortune is that we don't get the attention of citizens who are preoccupied with the crisis, tension, and security situation so that we can discuss the topics that interest them," Krasniqi said.
He added that fewer and fewer people are remaining in Kosovo.
"We're waiting for compatriots to return and revive Kosovo for a few months. Otherwise, from the beginning of this year until now, I've traveled across Kosovo, and it has happened that I passed through ten villages without meeting a single person. People are fleeing because they have lost hope," Krasniqi stated.
He emphasized that this is a topic that needs to be discussed.
"But we can't talk because our prime minister seeks refuge in Serbia. The dialogue serves to create crises, and then Kurti covers up all the problems. People are worried because, since last year, he has been talking about war in the international media," Krasniqi added.
