Dragisa Mijacic, the Coordinator of the National Convention for Chapter 35, stated for Kosovo Online that it was not surprising that the Ohrid Agreement had become part of Chapter 35.

"The decision to include the Ohrid Agreement and before that the Brussels Agreement, the so-called agreement on the path to normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, in negotiating Chapter 35 was defined by the Ohrid Agreement itself. It was supposed to be implemented immediately after the acceptance of the Ohrid Agreement, which happened last year on March 18, so it is not surprising that it has become a formal obligation of Serbia in the process of accession to the European Union," Mijacic said.

He added that it really shouldn't surprise anyone that this had happened.

"In the end, Serbia itself committed to implementing the Agreement, hence this obligation within Chapter 35, which states that what the President committed to will be implemented," Mijacic concluded.
