Mustafa: Kosovo will need a lot of time to regain the trust of the USA and the EU
The former Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, is skeptical about whether the EU's approach to Kosovo will change after the letter of international politicians to the United States, Great Britain, and the European Union, Ekonomia Online reports.
Mustafa points out that Kurti's Government must change its approach and wait for something like that to happen from international allies.
"Kosovo would have to change its approach towards itself in order to expect others to change its approach towards it. This Government has made its mistakes, disrespect for international partners and populism, more noticeable and condemned than policies that cause conflicts, instability, and Serbia’s political destruction. Serbia deserves to be sanctioned," Mustafa says.
According to him, Kosovo needs a lot of time to regain the trust it lost from the USA and the EU.
"I am afraid that Kosovo will need a lot of time to regain the trust of the US and the EU. This Government will accept and fulfill all US and European demands, and Kosovo will be worse than before Albin and Vjosa came to power," Mustafa says.
Mustafa assesses Kurti as a Prime Minister with populist politics, and that's the only way he will be remembered.
"We all know that populist politics secures votes in situations of crisis of national consciousness, but does not move us forward," Mustafa said.
