Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) official Veljko Odalovic pointed out that two important things happened today – that Albin Kurti was not invited to the conversation at the US Embassy in Pristina about the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities (CSM) because he denied the obligation to do so, and the second thing if the news is correct, the message from the US regarding the Kosovo membership in the Council of Europe.

When asked if there is unity or different opinions in Kosovo regarding the CSM and relations with Serbia, Odalovic noted that there were only nuances and that in the last few months, only the former Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, said that Pristina must have a sensibility for northern Kosovo, while everything else was a campaign and positioning to win power in Kosovo.

"Pristina is not ready to significantly change its politics," Odalovic said on the RTS TV show "Takovska 10".

Recalling that Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani once said: "they are not worried, as long as there is an American soldier in Kosovo," Odalovic stated that Pristina heard and understood messages from the US very well.

"Maybe Kurti can't hear them because he is autistic," Odalovic added.

Odalovic also stated that Pristina felt that Europe was powerless, that it had no instruments, and that was why they behaved in such a way that there was continuous violence on the ground and incidents which were caused exclusively by Pristina and Kurti, as he says, who was not ready to do what he knew would happen.

"The commitment of Vucic, Brnabic, and Dacic is to honor the obligation that guarantees that we will be more peaceful with the agreement implementation. It would be a different story today if the CSM had already been established. Serbs would not be afraid or attacked but would be safer," Odalovic pointed out.

He added that that was the moment when everyone was asking for the CSM establishment.

"Serbs left the institutions because the Brussels Agreement was not respected – which many began to abuse, uncontrollably oppress, and expel the Serbian people. Kurti is trying to block the return of the Serbs who resigned to the institutions," Odalovic said.

When asked if Kurti would succeed in that, Odalovic replied that he "doesn't know if there will be another Rasic."

Odalovic points out that now is the moment to show greater unity because Kosovo is a serious topic, and he hopes that the discussion in the Assembly will be constructive.
