The president of the New Kosovo Alliance, Bahgjet Pacolli, wrote on Facebook that the European proposal would be signed tomorrow, by which Kosovo would assume the inevitable obligation to form the CSM in exchange for the return of the Serbs to the institutions.

"In other words, the situation will turn out to be the same as it was a year ago. Serbia will benefit from this agreement, but so will Kosovo, some more, some less. Serbia will inevitably get the CSM and secure its way to the EU, with some self-consolation to distance itself from Russia, but not to separate from it. Kosovo, on the other hand, wins, the return of the Serbs to Kosovo institutions, or the possibility of holding elections in Serbian municipalities. Kosovo does not receive recognition from Serbia, but benefits from all accessions or Euro-Atlantic integrations, where Russia does not have the presence and influence, such as the liberalization of the visa regime, the Council of Europe... and perhaps some recognition by some EU members who have not yet recognized Kosovo," Pacolli wrote.

He added that the agreement with Serbia should be signed, as every government would do before 2021, and assessed that the signing of such an agreement was completely contrary to what Prime Minister Albin Kurti had once promised when he had been in the opposition.

"Today, although contrary to his promises, it is good that things are moving towards a peaceful perspective. This agreement represents a big step towards solving the problems in Serbia. Great credit goes to our traditional friends the US and the EU, to whom the people of Kosovo will be eternally grateful," Pacolli said.
