Historian and leader of the Social Democratic Party of Albania Paskal Milo believes that Prime Minister Albin Kurti with his decisions deliberately causes conflicts with the Serbs in the north of Kosovo in order to "buy time" and avoid the responsibility of presenting a plan for the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities to the international community, Euronews Albania reports.

Milo points out that any plan that Kurti chooses for the CSM will not be able to satisfy the international community, but, he warns, will also cause dissatisfaction in Kosovo.

He expressed his belief that Kurti could only get the support of his party's sympathizers and those parts of the population of Kosovo who demanded confrontation and did not respect the interests of Kosovo.

"Now he needs that support because he is facing a delicate decision. He cannot escape the time and the responsibility to give his version of the Community. It goes without saying that it will be a double-edged sword since it will not be in line with what the Westerners expect from Kurti, and secondly, whatever he proposes, it will cause dissatisfaction in Kosovo," Milo said.

He warns that Kurti is "playing with fire" and that it is not known what consequences his political actions will cause.

"Once again, we have a tightening of the situation on the internal level, on the stability of the entire country, but also on the international level. There are ups and downs in his politics and there is never long-term stability," Milo concluded.

Milo assessed that the events in the north of Kosovo were a kind of political theater created by Kurti, but also reminded that the Kosovo Prime Minister had been warned not to carry out violent actions.

"Kurti was warned by the international partners not to try to forcefully enter the municipalities. They should have been more prudent, caution is often lacking in Kosovo politics. It was discussed that the new mayors did not go to their offices, but somewhere else to perform their duties Their rule will be temporary because this will not be allowed and another election will be held in these municipalities. If the Serbs go to these elections, we know what the result will be. That is why the international response is so great. They warned Kurti, it is reckless on his part. Sovereignty is not protected by such an act," Milo said.
