PDK: By appointing Gervalla as director, RTK turns into Kurti's megaphone
The Democratic Party of Kosovo announced that the appointment of Rilind Gervalla, a member of Self-Determination, as the new director of RTK is the capture of the Public Service and its use for political purposes by Albin Kurti, reports Ekonomia online.
PDK points out that Kurti, in close cooperation with President Vjosa Osmani, "started recruiting his militants in RTK" a few months ago.
"The capture of RTK by Prime Minister Albin Kurti with the support of President Vjosa Osmani began with the election of members of the Board of Directors, who are now being used to implement the ruling party's political plan to put militants in leadership positions," the PDK said.
PDK points out that after the appointment of Gervalla as director, RTK will no longer serve the public.
"It will be the megaphone of Albin Kurti and Self-Determination, while the militants who will lead RTK will receive orders from their ideologues and party propagandists. Through the capture of the Public Radio and Television of Kosovo by party militants, the Government aims to capture the minds of the citizens, whom it fears the most. Appointing the militant Rilind Gervalla as a director, Prime Minister Albin Kurti aims to use RTK for propaganda and agitation of the 'what's there, what's not' type, in order to distort the reality and the truth about his bad governance," the PDK said.
