PDK youth protest: The Government is getting rich; young people are leaving
On International Youth Day, the youth of the Democratic Party of Kosovo protested in front of the Government of Kosovo with the motto "This is not for us", Reporteri reports.
Hundreds of young people from all municipalities of Kosovo gathered in front of the Government to express their dissatisfaction with the Government's policy.
They displayed banners with the inscriptions, "The Government is getting rich, the youth is leaving", "Prime Minister, have you seen that the youth is leaving?", "Prime Minister, how many young couples have benefited from housing at an affordable price?", "The EU and the US sanctions: The government acts - young people suffer".
"Only in the last two years, more than 100,000 young people left Kosovo. Young people in Kosovo face daily high living costs, lack of necessary infrastructure for the development of activities, lack of jobs," the President of the Democratic Youth of Kosovo, Arbnora Salihu.
That's why, according to her, the young people of Kosovo today have no reason to celebrate, but only to protest.
"One thing is true. This Government proves that they don't care about us. Therefore, we have no reason to celebrate either, but only to protest," Salihu concluded.
The Democratic Youth of Kosovo protest is being held as a part of "Youth Month", during which a series of activities were organized.
