The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, stated at today's press conference that a disinformation war was being waged against Serbia from Pristina and that he had evidence that disproved, as he said, the lies of Albin Kurti and Xhelal Svecla.

Petkovic spoke after last night's events in Zvecan when the Kosovo Police tried to make new arrests of the Serbs in Zvecan.

"I will present evidence that irrefutably shows what kind of liars Kurti and Svecla and everyone in Pristina are. An information war is being waged against Serbia with the aim of destroying Serbia and disrupting the dialogue. So you can see the scale of disinformation we are dealing with. A general disinformation war is at work," Petkovic said.

He announced that within 24 hours the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic would address the public with much more data and information.

"Intensive talks and meetings between President Vucic and our military leaders are underway, and in accordance with that, we will make important decisions in the coming period. We will fight to preserve the peace, and we will do everything to show the world and the domestic public what frauds we are facing, which have the aim of completely weakening Serbia, but also to cause new incidents and create space for Kurti to make baseless arrests in the north, create new crises and lead us into conflicts," Petkovic said.

At the conference, Petkovic presented a document created by the Security Intelligence Agency and handed over to the major powers and the most important intelligence services.

"By undertaking information gathering actions, the Security Intelligence Agency came to know that Pristina and Kurti want to use illegal weapons, which were collected from citizens all over Kosovo, for new arrests and expulsion of the Serbs from Kosovo. Pristina made a plan to use those weapons and subvert the Serbs, in order to later blame them for possessing weapons and planning an attack. The whole action was designed to be implemented before Vidivdan, however, as we can see, it happened before," Petkovic said.

Petkovic added that in this way Pristina was preparing new arrests of the Serbs and the eventual triggering of inter-ethnic armed conflicts and the expulsion of the Serbs from the north of Kosovo.

"According to this plan, members of the Kosovo Police are transporting illegal firearms, automatic rifles, Kalashnikovs, carbine pistols, hunting weapons, and ammunition that they seized in the previous period from citizens of Albanian and Serbian nationality who did not have the appropriate permits, from all sub-stations of the Kosovo Police to the regional directorates, and then transport them to the base of the special units of the Kosovo Police Belvedere in the southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica. They intend to misuse the aforementioned weapons and ammunition for new arrests of individual Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija or to transport them to one of the selected locations in the north of the province, and then also to allegedly find it accompanied by the media campaign, and the Serbs would be accused of illegal possession of weapons and ammunition and possible preparations for armed conflicts with the Albanians," the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija explained.

Petkovic warns that there is no end to Pristina's reckless behavior and that they "slapped the EU" considering that Kurti, a day after returning from Brussels, made three moves that directly collapse the dialogue and make it dead.

"The reason for that is to arrest Nenad Orlic, the father of four children, who was arrested without a court order, which was also confirmed by Mr. Borrell, and on a phone call from Xhelal Svecla, who has some secret lists in his pocket based on which he arrests people, and only after that he informs the court and the Prosecutor's Office," Petkovic said.

He also pointed out that the Albanians were sharing a shameful video of the arrested Orlovic on social networks.

"They published a shameful video of Orlovic, sitting naked up to his waist - that's how they arrested him because the man works in a car wash - in the room where he is being interrogated, with a black bag on his head, and with various music and comments, they spread it around networks and brag about torturing a Serb... as well as all previously arrested Serbs," Petkovic said.

He stated that the good news was that Rados Petrovic had been released yesterday, but, he reminds, Dusan Obrenovic, Lune Milenkovic, Dalibor Spasic, Nemanja Vlaskovic, Uros Vukadinovic, Dragisa Milenkovic, and Orlovic are still in custody.

"Kurti doesn't want to stop, he just wants new provocations," Petkovic stated.

Speaking about the event from last night and the planting of weapons, Petkovic says that Svecla went public last night and immediately said what the weapon in question was, which indicates that the whole situation was planned beforehand.

"How would he know what weapons are in that car? Well, he knows because they planted those weapons, the ones that arrived from regional centers, such as Gnjilane, in the Belvedere base, and from there ROSU transferred them to Zvecan, accusing the Serbs," Petkovic says.

Then he talked about the car in which the weapon was located - a black Audi found a hundred meters from the municipal building in Zvecan.

"You know that the EU requested that the Kosovo Police withdrew from the municipal buildings in Leposavic and Zvecan, but also from their vicinity and surroundings, not to mention that in addition to the Kosovo Police, KFOR secures those buildings in a wider area with barbed wire, so it is completely protected, and all of a sudden some kind of black car with Belgrade license plates appeared and it was full of some kind of explosives. How is it possible that you have been there for 20 days guarding those buildings and you didn't notice a black car full of some kind of explosives allegedly for some kind of terrorist attacks," Petkovic said.

He points out that the aforementioned Audi did not cross official crossings from Serbia, and that, as is already known, the other alternative crossings were "illegally created by the Kosovo Police".

Petkovic notes that the license plates on the vehicle are distorted, "as if someone had deliberately set them up", and that the license plates are "BG-955JW".

"According to our decree, all Serbian license plates that have Latin letters with ticks Č, Đ, Š, Y, and W are excluded from use. There is no car in traffic today that has valid license plates with those letters. And by checking, we found that these license plates' registration expired on July 29, 2020," Petkovic said, pointing to the fraud.

He adds, as the most interesting thing, that this is a vehicle that was stolen and is still being searched for, and the theft was reported on June 24, 2020, which is a month before the registration expires.

"It would be absolutely clear to everyone that we are talking about fraudsters and liars here, and everything with the intention of exerting pressure and creating conflicts in the north of Kosovo that would turn into a war and cover the wider area of the western region," Petkovic warns.

Petkovic on the arrests: Kurti compiled a list, handed it to Svecla, and when tensions were needed – Svecla told ROSU by phone who should be detained

Commenting on the message of High EU Representative Josep Borrell, who criticized the arrests of the Serbs without a warrant, but also mentioned Serbia's heavy rhetoric, Petkovic asked if it was heavy rhetoric when Belgrade said it would keep the peace.

"What kind of heavy rhetoric? We are saying that we will keep the peace, that we will monitor the situation, that we will fight for the people, and that we will protect our people if KFOR does not do it. We are debunking the lies of Pristina," Petkovic asked.

He pointed out that Kurti was well aware of the blow that Svecla's lies could inflict on Serbia, and that was exactly why he was doing it.

"But we have evidence and services that are doing their job seriously. Serbia is a serious country and we pointed out all the nastiness and wickedness of Kurti and Svecla at the right time," the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija added.

As for the extrajudicial arrests mentioned by Borrell, Petkovic pointed out how the arrests of the Serbs in Kosovo are carried out:

"Kurti compiles a list of the Serbs whom Svecla should arrest. He hands it to Svecla and he puts it in his pocket. Then they monitor the situation, and when it is necessary to raise tensions, before the meeting in Brussels or after the talks, or when they want to intimidate the Serbs, to increase the tension, to provoke the reaction of the Serbs - then Svecla takes out that piece of paper, calls ROSU on the phone and says whom they should arrest".

So, he says, Orlovic was arrested yesterday in North Mitrovica.

Arrested in a car wash, near Dudin Krs, the man did not hide... They arrest him like that, then take him to the interrogation room, torture him, put bags on his head, and then release it to the social networks for young Albanians to enjoy," Petkovic added.

He said that this was a blow to the EU, but also an indicator of the scale of the problems facing Belgrade.

"But we will fight and we will manage to deal with it," Petkovic said.
