The PSD submitted 205,000 signatures against the CSM to the Government of Kosovo

The Social Democratic Party submitted to the Government of Kosovo 205,000 signatures of a petition from 2016 against the agreement on the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, Ekonomia Online reports.

The PSD Chairman Dardan Moliqaj said that the Government of Kosovo had trampled on the will of the citizens twice.

"Once by giving up the petition with over 205,000 signatures from 2015 and 2016 against the agreement with Serbia, especially the one related to the CSM, and the second time by trampling the will expressed in the elections on February 14, 2021," Moliqaj said.

According to Moliqaj, Kurti not only abandoned the will of the citizens but violated it in a brutal way, which is why the PSD put the signatures of the citizens in front of the Government "so that it can trample on them every day."

"Not only did he give up, but he brutally violated that political will, in the agreement that was signed, practically agreed upon, and will be signed. The border between Kosovo and Serbia is even weaker than it was before, so the word border no longer exists. The word "Republic" does not exist anywhere, in any line of that agreement, and as you know, it officially gave up and requested recognition from Serbia, so not only does Serbia not recognize us, but now we have agreed to accept it," Moliqaj said. 

He added that the signatures on the petition had been brought before the government in order to make the trampling of the will of the citizens as obvious and clear as possible and to show that the current prime minister did not represent the political will of the citizens.

"In Kosovo, there are now measurements by credible organizations that have been published in recent days, according to which 97 percent of respondents are against the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities," Moliqaj said.
