Sadiku: Kurti is taking advantage of the fact that the Serbs left the institutions

Political scientist Arbnor Sadiku believes that until the parliamentary elections on February 9, the Kosovo authorities, led by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, will not take any new actions in northern Kosovo. He adds that the departure of Serbs from institutions in the north has given Kurti the opportunity to extend sovereignty over this part of Kosovo.

"Kurti won’t do anything for now, but they gained an advantage due to the wrong move by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who called on all Serbs in northern Kosovo to leave institutions such as the police, courts, and municipal institutions," Sadiku said.

He believes that Albin Kurti now has the opportunity to expand Kosovo’s sovereignty in the predominantly Serbian municipalities in the north.
