Serb List: Attack on our MPs the best example of the position of Serbs in Kosovo

The Serb List has strongly condemned today's, as they point out, unprovoked attack on its MPs in the Pristina assembly by MP Albin Kurti and Assembly Speaker Glauk Konjufca, who abused his position and prevented elected representatives of the Serbian people from attending the session.

The Serb List notes in a statement that during the attack on the MPs, MP Olivera Zdravkovic, who is pregnant, was among them.

"This unprecedented attack is a defeat of democracy and the rule of law, but also the best example of the position of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija under the regime of Albin Kurti, who suffers institutional violence and physical terror from Pristina on a daily basis," the Serb List says.

They are proud, they say, that Kurti is attacking them, because it only confirms that they are standing in his way of expelling everything Serbian.

They also point out that it should now be clear to everyone why Kurti is doing everything he can to eliminate the Serb List and secure for himself the Serbs he wants who will work in his, and not the Serbian people's, interests.

"Nothing will prevent or stop us from representing our Serbian people," is the message of the Serb List.

They add that Kurti, aware that he has nothing to offer his voters, whom they say he has deceived throughout his entire mandate, wants to score cheap political points on the card of nationalism.

The Serb List also demands a strong condemnation of today's attack on the MPs and the reaction of the embassies, primarily the USA, Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy, but also the European Union, OSCE, UNMIK.

"And all those who are most called upon to protect the rights of the Serbian people and prevent Kurti from persecuting everything Serbian, because the Serb List was elected by the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija and this is, above all, an attack on their rights," the statement concludes.
