The Serb List has highlighted that the persecution of all things Serbian in Kosovo and Metohija is continuing according to the orders and plans of Albin Kurti, following the Kosovo police raids on the branches of the Postanska Stedionica Bank in the north.

"The violent raid on the premises of the Postanska Stedionica Bank and the harassment of employees by Kurti's paramilitary phalanxes, armed to the teeth, is a response to the calls for peace from Serbs, Belgrade, and the international community. It also marks the beginning of Kurti's Self-Determination movement's campaign for the upcoming parliamentary elections. During this illegal anti-Serbian violent action, Kurti's phalanxes were deployed on the streets of all northern municipalities, near schools and kindergartens where classes were being held," the statement added.

The Serb List noted that just a day after the visit of a high-ranking U.S. official and the calls for resolving all issues through dialogue and for Pristina to finally establish the Community of Serb Municipalities (CSM), Kurti, "like a true tyrant and autocrat, uses long-barreled weapons and violence to raid purely Serbian areas and harass Serbs. Dissatisfied with the fact that despite abolishing the dinar, the right to healthcare, elections, cultural and sports events, and still holding dozens of honorable Serbs in prisons, he has not succeeded in scaring the Serbs and driving them from their ancestral homes."

They pointed out the concerning fact that EULEX and KFOR members were silent observers of today's illegal and violent action in northern Kosovo.

"We call on international representatives, especially those advocating for peace in this region, to urgently stop dictator Kurti and protect peace and the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija," the Serb List emphasized in their statement.
