Serbian house stoned in Gorazdevac, Serb List: We call on the international community to react
Late last night in Gorazdevac, unknown perpetrators stoned a Serbian house known as the "village guesthouse." In a statement, the Serb List said that the incident caused great alarm and concern among the local Serbian community and the host living in the building, who was present inside at the time of the attack.
The Serb List stated that this attack is yet another in a series of incidents targeting Serbs who, under extremely difficult conditions, are preserving their homes and their Gorazdevac.
"A few days ago, we witnessed shameful graffiti of the so-called KLA being written on Serbian properties in Gorazdevac, and earlier this year the Serbian tricolor flag was removed from the memorial complex dedicated to victims. Now there has also been an attack on the house of a Serbian host," the statement reads.
They added that representatives of the Serb List spoke with the homeowner whose house was damaged in the incident, offering him support and assuring him that the damage would be urgently repaired.
"We have no expectations that the Kosovo Police will find those responsible for these attacks, just as they have failed to do in previous cases. We call on the international community to use its authority to put an end to incidents targeting Serbs in this village and to ensure that those responsible are sanctioned," they emphasized.
The Serb List called on international representatives to condemn ethnically motivated violence against Serbs and to increase the presence of KFOR and EULEX forces in Serbian communities south of the Ibar River, which are daily targets of attacks.
