Tenth day of the Serb protest in Zvecan

Serbs continue their peaceful protest today in front of the municipality building in Zvecan.

It has been 13 days since the special police units entered the premises of the municipalities in Zvecan, Zubin Potok, and Leposavic. Today marks the tenth day of protests by the residents of Zvecan, who demand the withdrawal of the special units from northern Kosovo and the uninterrupted return of municipal employees to their workplaces.

The citizens also demand the release of two arrested Serbs, Dusan Obrenovic and Rados Petrovic.

The municipality's workers have once again registered for work this morning. The Kosovo Police Special Forces are still inside the municipal building, while KFOR soldiers are stationed outside.

Two days ago, KFOR members partially removed the barbed wire that was placed on the main street leading to the municipality building, where the majority of the gathered citizens are located. However, the metal fence separating the citizens from the KFOR members remains in place.

The wire has been left on the side entrances to the building.
