Defense Minister Milos Vucevic has stated that after the reception that Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti had received in Tetovo, it was clear that he had strong support, that everything was allowed to him, and that he wanted a "Greater Albania," RTV reported.

Appearing on the morning show "New Morning" on TV Pink, Vucevic also mentioned that North Macedonia and Montenegro had erred on the Kosovo issue but that it would come back to haunt them.

"They've opened Pandora's box, forgetting that there are more Montenegrins living in Serbia. I believe there is an all-Albanian consensus to see this historical moment as an opportunity for unification. Albin Kurti dreams of a 'Greater Albania' and won't stop until he achieves it. But the population and the number of children in Kosovo are dwindling, including Serbs, as they are being expelled," Vucevic said.

As Vucevic emphasized, the meetings President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic will have today and tomorrow in Hungary with the country's Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan are crucial for Serbia.

"Both meetings are significant for us. Hungary is Serbia's strongest advocate, I dare say, within the European Union. Our relationship with Turkey is sensitive and very important since it's a vital player with a significant number of KFOR soldiers. The problem for us is the arming of the KSF, and we need to express our position and define our red lines. The meetings won't be easy for Vucic due to the participation of the entire former Yugoslavia, including Kosovo, Romania, Bulgaria, and Ukraine," Vucevic said.

He pointed out that, as President Vucic announced, greater pressure on Serbia would start after the meeting scheduled for August 22.

"The pressure is constant, but what the President said reflects a complete division in Serbia about where we should stand, as long as it's not in the Serbian chair. To be Serbs, we have to be either Americans or Russians. I believe we can only be Serbs. We won't hang any flag next to the Serbian one, except when we have guests. We respect all flags, but we don't need them. It's a policy of independent thinking, of a free state, the policy our citizens choose. As long as Aleksandar Vucic leads such a policy, he will have our full support," Vucevic added.

Vucevic also mentioned that Serbia would experience a significant rise in the military rankings next year.

"These are the results of a decade-long policy of investing in the military. For us, it's a challenge to continue safeguarding our military, which is the best protector of a free and independent Serbia. Imagine what Kurti would do if we didn't have that army. Investing in the military is investing in our future. Imagine also if everything from the Russian Federation or China arrived, which hasn't happened due to geopolitics, where would we be today," Vucevic concluded.
