Vucic: The action of Kurti and Svecla with planting weapons in Zvecan as a script for a cartoon
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, praised the work of the Serbian Police, as well as the Security Intelligence Agency, which, as he reminded, had discovered the plan of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and had delivered the memo about his plans for the planting of weapons in Zvecan to the Presidency of Serbia, and then to "the largest service on the world".
He assessed that the plan of Kurti and the Kosovo Minister of the Interior, Xhelal Svecla, to plant weapons in Zvecan, had been like a script written for a cartoon.
"The Security Intelligence Agency sent a letter the day before to me, and then to the biggest service in the world with what Kurti and Svecla are doing and want. It was like in cartoons, but someone probably informed them that we discovered them," Vucic said.
He points out that everyone in the world knows it's a set-up.
"There are many chess miniatures there, we have learned a lot and our services have progressed in their work," Vucic said.
Vucic said that Serbia had to fight because any improvement in the country's position was a great success.
"We have to work on all fronts, to fight for the country, to be firm, smart, to make compromises, to push the country forward faster than others... Without that, to feel insulted, hurt, to cry, with results that will go down, Serbia will fail," Vucic said.
We had to move forward, we were in a difficult situation, because of Albin Kurti's insanity, the President of Serbia warned.
When asked if he expected any provocations on Vidovdan, he replied that life was not just one day, but that things could be seen on Vidovdan, but the question was how long and what we could endure.
In response to the opposition's remarks that many Serbs had emigrated from Kosovo, he stated that proportionally more Albanians than Serbs had emigrated from Kosovo.
He reminded that Serbia gave a huge amount of money to Kosovo and Metohija, a 50 percent salary supplement, which meant that the teacher in Lesko had a 50 percent higher salary than his colleague from Raska.
In response to the comments that the Kosovo Police had been guarding the village road, he pointed out that it was not so naive, but rather that they had been protecting the Serbs from getting goods from central Serbia, considering that Kurti had forbidden the Serbs to get them through the normal route.
"Nothing is as naive as it seems... Nor is any of them naive, and didn't know how to use a rifle...," the president noted.
Vucic also pointed out that the competent authorities had to give a hearing to everyone, and then to decide on the indictment.
"Maybe they will be released; maybe there will be indictments, then a custody decision... But the procedures must be followed," Vucic said.
When asked about the relationship with the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, Vucic says that they have a correct relationship and often have the same, common position.
Sometimes, as he says, they have different views, but they must not allow that to divide Serbia and Republika Srpska.
The President of Serbia says that he expects a visit from the new Montenegrin President, Jakov Milatovic, and adds that he believes that Montenegro's policy towards Serbia will not change, nor will it change globally, but that it is always good to talk.
He also announced that, most likely on June 28, on Vidovdan, the ring road around Belgrade would be opened, which was perhaps the most important road in Serbia, because all freight traffic would be "moved out" from the city center.
He added that on this day, 100,000 guns and mine-explosive devices and four million pieces of ammunition had been collected, as well as that there would be no further extension of the deadline, after which extensive action against illegal and checking of legal weapons would be launched.
