Vucic with Chen Bo: UN Security Council session needed on endangerment of Serbs in Kosovo

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, received the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, Chen Bo, today, providing her with detailed information about the endangerment of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija and the delicate security situation that undermines the stability of the entire region.

As part of that, he emphasized his belief in the necessity of holding a special session of the United Nations Security Council to inform the global public about the tensions in Kosovo and Metohija and the difficult position of the local Serbs, as stated in the media release.

In this regard, Ambassador Chen stated, "Our stance on Kosovo and Metohija is very clear. We support finding a solution within the framework of the dialogue and UN Security Council Resolution 1244. We support Serbia's efforts to preserve territorial integrity and sovereignty. We always understand and support the legitimate and rational demands of the Serbian side," as mentioned by the Chinese Ambassador.

President Vucic highlighted the exceptional dynamics of cooperation between Serbia and China, based on mutual trust and respect, stable economies, and strategic planning aimed at long-term projects at the national and regional levels.

He also expressed gratitude to Chinese friends and Ambassador Chen Bo for their personal commitment and tremendous efforts in strengthening the relations between Serbia and China, sharing sincere joy with us for every highway, bridge, railway, and factory constructed.
