The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, spoke on the phone with the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, to whom he said that Serbia behaved seriously and responsibly, but that the Special Forces of the Kosovo Police arrested the Serbs completely arbitrarily every day, and he requested the release of all arrested Serbs.

"State Secretary Blinken insisted on calming down the situation in the north of Kosovo and Metohija and fully supported the European plan for de-escalation," according to the press service of the President.

Vucic also said that "the resignations and immediate withdrawal of fake mayors from buildings in four municipalities in the north of Kosovo, as well as the Special Forces of the Kosovo police, are of key importance for calming tensions."

State Secretary Blinken congratulated President Vucic on the fact that Belgrade had won the organization of EXPO 2027, beating, among other things, Minnesota.
