Vucic: There is no recognition of Kosovo, but there should be reconciliation with the Albanians
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic visited Vranje today, and in his address to the citizens, he said that there will be no surrender and that he will not recognize Kosovo's independence, either de facto or de jure.
"I know what I swore to – the Constitution of Serbia and Miroslav's Gospel. I will not be the one to sign the independence of Kosovo and Metohija for them! There is no surrender, we will not recognize independence either de facto or de jure," Vucic stated.
Vucic says that he is proud to see people who love their country.
"The geopolitical situation in the world has changed more drastically than it did during the fall of the Berlin Wall, but some here pretend not to see how difficult Serbia's position is... It is an unbearable dose of the ease with which the country could be destroyed in a week. They do not even know what a country means. Our obligation is to protect our country," Vucic told the audience.
Vucic pointed out that there would be no recognition of Kosovo but that there should be reconciliation with the Albanians.
Vucic will visit Bujanovac after Vranje, where he will visit the Vranje Sports Hall and the completion of the first phase of the reconstruction of the "Branko Radicevic" Elementary School.
He will then go to the new fire station in Trgoviste, after which he will visit the final works on the reconstruction of the "Decja radost" (Children's Joy) preschool in Bosilegrad.
After that, he will visit Vlasina Lake and works on the construction of the wastewater collection system.
On Friday, the President of Serbia announced during the session of the party's Main Board that he would embark on a tour of Serbia and visit all 25 districts by the end of the year.
"I hope that I will be able to go to Kosovo and Metohija as well. We will talk to people in several places, and I am especially happy that I will go to Bosilegrad as the president of Serbia," Vucic said.
He added that he would try to visit every municipality in Serbia over the next year.
