Vucic: Why does Kurti call NATO, if he is so strong, why he did not enter the north?
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said, regarding Albin Kurti's call to NATO, the Germans and others to increase the number of soldiers in KFOR, that it was normal for the Pristina authorities that more Germans came to Kosovo, but that there should not be a few Serbs in Kosovo.
"We should all say how normal and nice it is so that no criticize us. My counter question is why do you call NATO when you are so strong? Why didn't you enter the north for 20 days, why when you are so strong? But you knew, let's not talk any further," Vucic underlined.
Vucic announced that State Department adviser Derek Chollet, who was very important in American politics, would come to Serbia on January 11 or 12.
"He is a serious, dedicated, young and smart man. I believe in creating better relations with the USA. It won't be an easy conversation. After that, the arrival of all experts from Europe is planned," Vucic emphasized.
He said that there would be pressure, that there had been countless ones up to now and that it was not nice either in Tirana or Prague.
"While you said that the noose was tightening around my neck, not because of me, but because they threatened Serbia, I guarded and protected it because it was my job and not only because, but because I love Serbia more than anything, it is more important to me than myself, my children and everyone else," Vucic underlined.
The pressure will continue, he says. Regarding the Franco-German plan, he said that they behaved as if it were not a draft, but a proposal, as if the assembly had adopted it.
"It seems that there are many more Germans and French in Kosovo than Serbian interests. They act as if this is an offer that you must not refuse. They are big and powerful and can do anything, we are small, but don't forget the difference between an elephant, a tiger and a wolf. You can't blackmail a little wolf, elephants and tigers, and to take it to the circus, whoever tried got burned and bitten," Vucic said.
Asked about the number of Serbs in Kosovo, he said that it was always smaller, because they were under great pressure, but it was not decreasing as much as it was from 2000 to 2012, when we had lost two-thirds of the Serbian population.
Now, he adds, we are losing 1 to 3 percent annually, similar to what happened in central Serbia.
"But there more because of the difficult life under the boot of Albania and the boot of the international community," Vucic added.
As for those who say that after each of his actions there are fewer Serbs in Kosovo, he said that after each of his actions, the budget in Pristina is 100,000 Euros smaller, which is how much those who say that in Serbia charged Pristina.
"And then they come to the Office for Kosovo and Metohija to ask that their relatives be employed in order to keep quiet. During their time, Kosovo became independent, not today. Today, we are fighting to preserve Kosovo as a part of Serbia," Vucic pointed out.
Vucic, at the annual conference, sent a special greeting to the Serbian people in Kosovo with the wish that they spend Christmas in health and joy, without incidents caused by Pristina.
"Serbia will move forward no matter what anyone wants, there is no surrender," Vucic said.
