Miric: I'm afraid to sleep in my house; no one is safe

Dragisa Miric, a member of the Provisional Authority for the Municipality of Decani and a former Member of Parliament in Pristina, after his house in Batushe, was robbed and broken into last night, tells Kosovo Online that he is afraid to sleep in his family home.

Miric is currently in Nis, and his neighbor informed him today that his house was broken into and robbed.

"My neighbor told me this morning that the house was ransacked. The house has five rooms, all the doors were ransacked, things were destroyed, and scattered, and TVs were taken. And I won't know what else is missing until I come tomorrow and see for myself," Miric says and adds that the police conducted an investigation.

He says he doesn't feel safe.

"Since Kurti came to power, i.e. since he was elected prime minister, many strange things have been happening. All of this is the result of Kurti's attitude, violence towards the Serbs, intolerance, and a man who does not know how to work for the reconciliation of the Serbs and Albanians. No government was like this. When Albanians attack young children aged 11 and 17, what should we expect? No one is safe. I am afraid to sleep in my house now. How do I know what the goal is behind this, after all, I am here in Kosovo politics since 2005," Miric said.
