Dejan Radic, who was beaten and robbed around midnight in his home in Staro Gracko, told Kosovo Online that he had been attacked by three Albanians armed with wooden sticks and that they had taken all his savings.

"Last night, around 11:50 pm, I heard something outside the house, and then the dog started barking. I thought maybe it was just the dogs, I didn’t know what it was. Five or ten minutes passed, and the dog kept barking more and more. They were throwing apples at him; I have an orchard. I took a big flashlight and stepped out three or four meters from the house, maybe even five," Radic recounts.

He says he pointed the light towards the road, thinking something was coming from that direction, but when he turned towards the house, he saw three attackers.

"When I turned the light up toward the house, behind the house I saw three of them standing with wooden clubs. Suddenly, they came at me, knocked me down, and started hitting me. After that, they dragged me into the house, tied me up with a cable, and took everything I had – 2,200 euros, and 50 euros in my pocket, which I worked hard for. After I told them where the money was, they took it and ran away, leaving me behind," he says, adding that they were Albanians.

He explains that his neighbor, Zoran Cirkovic, was the first to come to his aid.

"He called the police, they conducted an investigation and then called for an ambulance," Radic said.
