Romanian national team fans were expelled from the stadium in Pristina during last night's match against Kosovo in the European Championship 2024 qualifiers because they chanted "Kosovo is Serbia," as reported by the Romanian portal Antena.
Ten minutes before the end of the match, the organizers decided that the Romanian fans should urgently leave the stadium, and according to the Antena sources, the decision was made when the visiting team's fans started shouting "Kosovo is Serbia."
During the evacuation of the fans, the police used force and struck them with batons.
The match ended in a 0-0 draw.
Romania is one of the five European Union members that does not recognize Kosovo.
