The President of the Matica of Albanians in Serbia, Demo Berisha, emphasizes that the conflict between Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and President Vjosa Osmani has been ongoing for a long period, culminating when Foreign Minister Donika Gervalla sent a letter to the Council of Europe.

Berisha believes that the conflict between the Kosovo Government and the Presidency began with Kurti's visit to the United States and the refusal of American officials to meet with him.

"The conflict between Kurti and Osmani has been ongoing for a long time, since Kurti's fiasco in America, when no officials met with him. Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani represents foreign policy and has taken certain obligations on behalf of the Kosovo Government and herself in relation to the US Government to change certain actions by Kurti, and it is well known that he constantly fabricates certain situations, from administrative to physical attacks on Serbs. We see this daily, and Osmani, at the request of the Americans, tried to mitigate this relationship," Berisha said.

At that time, Berisha highlights, Osmani realized they were not on the same page regarding Kosovo's foreign policy.

"There was a culmination during the voting in the Council of Europe when Kurti's government, through the Ministry, sent a letter of guarantee because it was done when Osmani was not in Kosovo. This made her conclude that they are no longer on the same page regarding foreign policy," Berisha emphasized.

Regarding the opposition's initiative to hold parliamentary elections in Kosovo, our interlocutor points out that Osmani will have the final say.

"We had an attempt to overthrow Kurti's government, opposition parties are demanding his resignation, he is seeking the dissolution of the parliament, and I believe that Osmani's decision will be decisive in the end because it is within her jurisdiction," Berisha noted.

Osmani, by leaving the LDK, took a certain number of voters with her, so she did not leave a place to return there, Berisha says, adding that she has now come into conflict with members of the party Guxo which she formed, Donika Gervalla and Faton Peci, so everything indicates that she will withdraw from politics after her presidential mandate expires.

"She only has to go to Australia, where she bought a house. She will definitely withdraw from politics," Berisha concluded.
