Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic has assessed that the talks in Brussels at the high-level meeting on September 14 would certainly be challenging and that the urgent implementation of the Ohrid Agreement entailed the implementation of the Brussels Agreement, which, she added, did not exist for Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

"The talks will certainly be difficult. I am deeply grateful to President Aleksandar Vucic for taking on that enormous burden and thus easing the government's workload to focus on matters related to improving the citizens' lives," Brnabic said during her appearance on the Morning Program on RTS.

As she added, she agrees that there should be an urgent implementation of the Ohrid Agreement, which also implies the implementation of the Brussels Agreement, leading to the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities.

"We have entered the final quarter of 2023, and we still do not have the CSM, nor does Pristina intend to form it or implement the Brussels Agreement. Albin Kurti does not even want to utter 'Brussels Agreement.' For him, it doesn't exist, and the international community continues to tolerate this," Brnabic emphasized.

She recalled that Belgrade had received assurances that the CSM would be formed and that the international community had stated that if Kurti did not want it, they would form it themselves in accordance with the Brussels Agreement.

"We haven't seen that either; instead, we have seen further escalation. I commend President Vucic for finding a way to preserve peace and stability and what suits our people and our country, because peace enables us to have additional prosperity, build roads, and create new jobs, and that's why it's important for us to maintain it," Brnabic concluded.
