Milovan Drecun, President of the Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, says that the reinforcement of KFOR forces will be directed toward the administrative line and that KFOR was not satisfied with this decision because it means they will take over the duties previously carried out by the Kosovo police in the north.

Regarding the announcement that a new contingent of British and German KFOR soldiers will be deployed in Kosovo, he said for Kosovo Online that this had been a request from Belgrade.

"Belgrade itself requested an increase in the number of KFOR members in northern Kosovo and for KFOR to take over the tasks currently carried out by specialized, militarized units in the north, which exclusively terrorize Serbs," Drecun said.

He reminded that KFOR had not responded to Belgrade's request.

"Of course, the KFOR command is not satisfied with Belgrade's demands to take over the tasks performed by the so-called Kosovo Police, but it is obvious that a decision has been made in the NATO headquarters to increase the number of KFOR members due to the current situation. Certain countries are providing additional forces prepared in reserve when needed. Given that Western politics, i.e., NATO, and therefore the KFOR command, consider the tragic events in Banjska to be a kind of terrorist act, they increasingly point fingers at official Belgrade. If we have the confession of the person who organized that group, prepared it, and entered with that group, and it was said that the state of Serbia has nothing to do with it. NATO believes they should strengthen their presence, especially along the administrative line, to close all possible routes for the potential infiltration of such groups," Drecun stated.

He emphasized that the reinforcements that were coming would primarily be directed at securing the administrative line.

"So, the reinforcements that are coming will primarily be directed toward the administrative line, and all these other police activities will be left to the so-called Kosovo Police, placing themselves in a kind of third security ring in Kosovo and Metohija. Britain has decided to send part of a battalion of 200 people to strengthen its presence. We see that Germany is considering the possibility of sending additional forces, and I believe that other forces are also in preparation, such as Turkish forces and some others," Drecun said.

According to him, NATO will now use the situation to increase KFOR's presence along the administrative line to prevent, as they say, attempts at further destabilization.

"This will be a kind of protection for Albin Kurti and his militarized police units to be able to carry out terror without hindrance under the pretext of conducting an anti-terrorist operation, as he declared across the entire northern Kosovo," Drecun emphasized.
